We are excited to announce that Rabbi Yehuda Jeiger will be joining the BMA team as Elementary School Principal starting this summer. Rabbi Jeiger is a premier Jewish educator known for approaching learning in a personal, individualized manner while promoting growth for both the students he teaches and the teams he leads. For the last 13 years, Rabbi Jeiger has worked at the Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy in Stamford, Connecticut where he currently serves as the Associate Principal (Pre-K – 12th Grade). Throughout his tenure, Rabbi Jeiger made a lasting impact on the school community by introducing enhanced curriculum that bridged Judaic and General Studies, delivering engaging student programming and providing his staff with valuable professional development opportunities.
Across the Jewish Day School community, Rabbi Jeiger is widely recognized as one of the leading voices in innovation in education. He played a primary role in leading Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy to earn a coveted Blue Ribbon, an award that recognizes the most exemplary academic programs in the country. Rabbi Jeiger is also the winner of two Jewish Education Innovation Challenge awards, most recently for introducing a new and revolutionary Tefillah curriculum.
Rabbi Jeiger has a Bachelor’s Degree from Queens College, completed his Rabbinical Ordination from Yeshiva Torah Mitzion, a Master’s Degree in Education from Yeshiva University, and a Specialist Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Yeshiva University. Rabbi Jeiger has 20+ years in Jewish Day School education- both formally in the classroom and informally at camps, NCSY, synagogues and beyond.
Rabbi Jeiger prides himself on being a lifelong learner always trying to grow in his knowledge and practice. He completed the Art of Leadership training at Harvard University in 2017 and will also be joining Rabbi Fein as one of the 18 school leaders selected to attend Harvard this summer for the Leading an Evolving Vision certification. In addition, Rabbi Jeiger is sought after by many educators as a mentor – and Rabbi Fein was fortunate to have Rabbi Jeiger serve as his coach when he completed the YU LEAD development program.
Rabbi Jeiger, his wife Danielle, and his five children – Avichai (16), Meital (14), Meira (8), and twins: Azriel and Gili (5 ½), are excited to be joining the BMA community this coming summer.
