Michelle was raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Hollywood, Florida in 1992 with her husband Aaron. Michelle graduated from SUNY at Buffalo where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting and Finance. She earned her CPA license in New York State and started her career with a national public accounting firm in Manhattan. Michelle left public accounting as Audit Manager to work for a publicly traded real estate developer.
Around the time that her first child was turning one, she decided to leave the corporate world. Shortly thereafter in 1995, Michelle was offered a position with BMA. At that time, the school was in its early stages. BMA was educating its students on a leased property and embarking on the purchase of the land upon which it now situated. It had fewer than 100 students from approximately 50 families.
Michelle has watched and participated in BMA’s evolution and success along with the many changing stakeholders, officers and board members during her 20 plus years at the school. She has moved with the school three times in her tenure. She holds the history, background and “Rashi’ of BMA’s mission and its experiences as it advanced into the school it is today. She has initiated the Officers and Staff of BMA to establish and maintain the financial integrity of the school.
Michelle has watched BMA service the needs of Hollywood’s growing and changing community. BMA has been the beneficiary of Michelle’s professional skills and training.
Michelle and Aaron’s children, Jacob 20, Linda 18 and Abraham 16 have all graduated from BMA and their daughter Rachel 12 is a current student. Michelle is continuously appreciative of the support her entire family provides, allowing her the opportunity to continue to dedicate herself to her professional responsibilities.
