The ROOTS Program
The Roots program is a co-run program between Emtza NCSY and BMA. This program offers students the opportunity to visit a Senior Facilities Home once a month at the the Plaza of Hallandale Beach Assisted Living Center.
While at the Plaza our students visit with seniors talking about their day to day lives at the plaza as well as their lives growing up. The students also talk with the seniors about their own lives and what life is like being a pre teen in today’s world. The students always have fun visiting with the seniors as a group and the seniors always enjoy a chance to get to know the BMA students.
The group will leave on the 2nd Monday of each month from BMA at 4:45 and return to Young Israel of Hollywood at 6:30.
